Man found shot multiple times inside truck at southwest Houston apartment complex

A man was found shot multiple times inside a truck at an apartment complex in southwest Houston early this morning.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded around 12:40 a.m. to the 10200 block of West Bellfort and found a man in his mid-40s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a burgundy truck. Police said they believe the shooting may have happened 30 to 40 minutes before officers were called.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in serious condition. Police said it is not known if the man lives at the apartment complex, and he has not been able to provide a statement.

The Houston Police Department Major Assaults Division is investigating.
