Tyranny & Totalitarianism Past, Present & Future: The Past: The Present

What is the true character of modern tyranny? How does it compare to ancient tyranny? Is it essentially more ambitious, extending deep into the most intimate affairs of men? Is there a fundamental contrast between early modern absolutism and 20th century totalitarianism?

The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization (AHI) and the Daniel Webster Center at Dartmouth College will join forces to sponsor the conference, “Tyranny and Totalitarianism: Past, Present, and Future on September 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. , 1 Rockefeller Center, Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.
