Cultivating Eagerness to See God | Sri Vasudev Keshav Dasa

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, also known as Gauranga, due to His golden complexion. He was born on Phalguni Purnima, a full moon day, in 1486 AD in Sridham Mayapur as the son of Sri Jagannath Mishra and Srimati Sachidevi. Lord Chaitanya taught the importance of devotion to Lord Krishna through congregational chanting of the holy names of God, known as the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

In this video, Sri Vasudev Keshav Dasa narrates the pastime when Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was living in Puri. At the Garuḍa-stambha of Jagannath temple, a woman from Orissa fervently prayed to Lord Jagannath. In her eagerness for just one glimpse of Him, she stepped on Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s shoulder. Govinda rebuked her behaviour, but Chaitanya Mahaprabhu praised instead - commending her devotion and enthusiasm in wanting to see God's form directly with eyes that yearned only faithfulness.

Watch this video to know an important teaching that can lead to tremendous spiritual progress and share it with others.
