A revolutionary tool for Carpenters and DIY consumers; edgebanding trimmer.

In this video we describe how to trim furniture edges. Also, we show how to apply pre-glued melamine edgebanding.

We had always imagined designing an end trimmer but we never thought we could incorporate this into one simple tool that can be used as pressing block, end trimmer and double-edge trimmer.

Inspired by the very nail clipper that we use on daily basis, the trimmer works perfectly with preglued melamine and 0,4mm PVC. The end trimmer works just like a nail clipper there you press the end position. The most important is to keep the tool moving in balance position.

Experience will make the device work perfectly. After few tries and balance control, you will be getting perfect and clean results. And this will be an indispensable tool for carpenters and DIY consumers.

Behind the scenes: The story behind designing TECE 3in1 trimmer

Producing edgebanding has been our core business since 1987. Yet, we always try to come up with new tools to help our customers to process our edgebanding more easily.

Designing and producing a trimmer had been in our minds since few years. We were specially thinking to develop an end trimmer. In the market, there were few end-trimmer options.

While we were supplying a standard double edge trimmer, we thought that if we can combine end trimmer and double edge trimmer into one tool, it would be a revolutionary device.

But developing something is much more difficult than being said. We developed numerous prototypes. Thanks to our industrial designer and our in-house 3D printing capabilities, we managed to produce the perfect tool.

Our 3in1 trimmer is protected by patent worldwide. Our patent number is PCT/TR2022/050681.

How to use

- Apply the preglued edgebanding and leave 1cm from each end.
- use the side of the 3in1 trimmer, to press the edgebanding on the board. This is done
- Hold the end trimming unit over the 1mm edgebanding, press your thumb over the end-knife firmly, and pull the bottom part of the trimmer upward.
- Then use the double-edge trimmer to trim the edges.
