Asia Society Seattle Annual Event 2024: Janet Yang on AAPI in Media

Seattle, September 12, 2024 – Asia Society Seattle hosts the Seattle Annual Event at the Seattle Asian Art Museum. The 2024 Seattle Annual Event is a celebration of an extraordinary year of programs and community engagement, marking the one-year anniversary from our launch. From thought-provoking discussions to captivating cultural performances, this anniversary event is a showcase of Asia Society Seattle’s critical and unique role in navigating shared futures between the U.S. and Asia, and among Asian diasporas in the Pacific Northwest.

Janet Yang, President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Emmy and Golden Globe Award-Winning Producer, speaks on Asian American representation in media, advancements in representation over time, and ways we can continue to bolster diversity on the big screen.
