Ecommunity Conference - Peres Center & USAID

When sustainability and shared living between Jews and Arabs come together at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation
In these turbulent times, it was joyful and inspiring to celebrate the culmination of the "Under the Same Green Roofs" project at the Ecommunity conference in partnership with USAID.
The conference was attended by US Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides, Director General of the Peres Center Efrat Duvdevani, Chairman of Mifal Hapayis Avigdor Yitzhaki, Mayor and Chairman of the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel Haim Bibas, Mayors of Kfar Saba and Kafr Qasem, Rafi Saar and Nader Badir.
Without a doubt, those who stole the show were the program’s young leaders from Kafr Qasem, Kfar Saba, Tira and Kadima-zoran who are living proof that it is possible to work together in partnership for the sake of the planet and the environment, and in fact also for any cause we choose.
The conference included panels and lectures highlighting environmental social initiatives that echo the work and ideas of the "Under the Same Green Roofs" project - connecting communities through urban sustainability.

בימים סוערים אלה היה משמח, מעורר אופטימיות והשראה לחגוג את אירוע השיא של פרויקט ״גגות ירוקים״ בכנס Ecommunity בשיתוף ארגון USAID - US Agency for International Development
בכנס השתתפו שגריר ארה״ב בישראל טום ניידס, מנכ״לית מרכז פרס אפרת דובדבני, יו״ר מפעל הפיס אביגדור יצחקי, ראש העיר ויו״ר מרכז השלטון המקומי חיים ביבס, ראשי עיריות כפר סבא וכפר קאסם, רפי סער ועאדל בדיר.
ללא ספק מי שגנבו את ההצגה היו המד״צים, המנהיגים הצעירים מכפר קאסם, כפר סבא, טירה, וקדימה-צורן שהם הוכחה חיה לכך שאפשר לפעול יחד בשותפות למען כדור הארץ והסביבה, ובעצם גם למען כל מטרה שרק נבחר.
בכנס התקיימו פאנלים והרצאות של מיזמים חברתיים סביבתיים המהדהדים את העשייה והרעיונות בהם פרויקט ״גגות ירוקים״ עוסק ומקדם - חיבור בין קהילות דרך קיימות עירונית.

في هذه الفترة العصيبة كان من المفرح جدا ألإحتفال بتتويج مشروع "ألأسطح الخضراء " خلال مؤتمر Ecommunity وبمشاركة منظمة USAID , مؤتمر يضفي على طابعه التفائل والإلهام.
في المؤتمر شارك السفير الأمريكي لدى إسرائيل توم نايدس ، مديرة مركز بيرس للسلام إفرات دوفديفاني ، رئيس اليانصيب – مفعال هابايس أفيغدور يتسحاقي ، رئيس البلدية ورئيس مركزالسلطات المحلية حاييم بيبس ، رؤساء بلديات كفار سابا , كفر قاسم ، رافي ساعر وعادل بدير.
مما لا شك فيه أن نجوم هذا المؤتمر كانوا المرشدين ، القادة الشباب من كفر قاسم وكفار سابا الطيرة وكديما تسوران , الذين يعتبرون دليل حي وقاطع على أنه من الممكن العمل معًا في شراكة تامة من أجل االكرة الأرضية والبيئة ، وفي الواقع من أجل أي هدف نحدده.
خلال المؤتمر , عقدت ندوات ومحاضرات حول المشاريع الإجتماعية والبيئية التي تعكس العمل والأفكار التي يتعامل معها مشروع "الأسطح الخضراء" يعزز – الجمع والتواصل بين المجتمعات من خلال الإستدامة الحضرية.
