Knitting Vicariously: Episode 46 - And Finally...

Hello again, pickles. As ever, I hope you’re all safe and well. This time on the podcast, we’re discussing Ravelry’s new look and the challenges and concerns it poses to accessibility. For those unable to use the site, I’ve included alternative links to patterns and projects where possible (mostly Instagram, which comes with its own particular brand of challenges) but would be keen to hear any suggestions as to how we share content and patterns in a way that reduces our reliance on Ravelry. Aside for that, I share updates on WIPs, pattern picks, some of your gorgeous projects and a spot of stash enhancement for your delectation. And finally, we'll take a lighthearted moment to reflect on the old adage: think not what your crafting can do for you, but what you can craft for a cat.

RAVELRY UPDATES AND ITS POOR RESPONSE ON ACCESSIBILITY
The recent design changes over on Ravelry have left some users unable to use the site without suffering debilitating effects. The response to date from Ravelry has been incredibly disappointing and I hope they reconsider pushing the new look as the default option for all users. You can switch to the old site design by hovering over your Ravatar in the top-right corner and selecting “Classic Ravelry” from the drop-down menu.
