Installing Diesel Air Heater - Part 1 - Mounting the Heater Inside a Toobox

This is Part 1 in a Series I'll be doing about installing a diesel air heater in my off-grid cabin. In this video, I'm modifying a metal toolbox from Harbor Freight to put my diesel heater in because it will eventually be mounted outside of my cabin.

I have to be honest and say this part of the installation did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. But I was eventually successful in getting the Chinese diesel air heater off of Amazon installed in this 22" toolbox.
For starters, I put this chore off too long. When I did finally get around to doing it, the weather was really cold outside! This made working outside a little tougher.
Second, the manufacturers of diesel air heaters do not include everything you need for a complete installation of the heater. There are a few things you will need to purchase on your on before installing the diesel heaters in your off grid cabin (or anywhere else for that matter). So watch this video to see what other hardware you may need to get the diesel heater fully installed.
