Aldabra biosecurity: visitor guidelines
One of the biggest threats to the biodiversity of Aldabra is invasive species. These species can outcompete native species and are very costly to remove. SIF therefore has strict regulations and checks in place to prevent the introduction of any non-native plant or animal to Aldabra. This video details the procedures taken by visitors to ensure that they minimise the risk of invasive species reaching the atoll.
