DOBBY Poseable Clay Doll Timelapse / Tutorial Part 1

This is the first part of 2 videos on how I made a Dobby poseable art doll. He's the hero elf creature in the Harry Potter series.

I used Living Doll in Baby polymer clay to sculpt him. For the main body armature, I used copper wire. The other wires for the hands and feet are aluminum wire. I also used aluminum foil for the head and to bulk up the limbs. I then wrapped the armature with white floral tape.

The paints are Genesis heat set paints which I applied in layers. You can also use acrylic paints and pastels.

To smooth out the clay I used a paint brush with rubbing alcohol.
