My miniature horses in their winter woolies at feeding time. My horses are about the size of a large dog..My smallest one is my stallion staning about 27" tall at the withers. I have 6 miniature horses. Not hard to care for but they can sure destroy any grass areas they can reach. Mine get fed twice a day. They eat about a 1 1/2 cups of Purina miniature horse and pony feed and about a cup of soaked peat pulp in the morning and evening. They also like their alfalfa grass mix for grazing.
Since Mini's stay out year round they basically only need a lean to for protection from bad weather.
