Orange Is the New Black S4E13: Prison Riot Begins – Daya Holds Guard Hostage

In the explosive season finale of Orange Is the New Black Season 4 Episode 13 – “Toast Can’t Never Be French”, the tension finally boils over as Daya (Dayanara Diaz) gets her hands on a gun.
One nervous inmate asks her, “Daya, you sure you know what you’re doing? Maybe you wanna give it to someone else?”
Daya ignores the doubt and turns to a female corrections officer with ice-cold confidence:
“Hey, lady CO. Get on the floor with your hands behind your head, right now… before I shoot your little friend here in the eyeball.”
The guard quickly drops to the floor. As the other inmates react in shock (“Jesus, Diaz”), Daya stares down the guards with pure rage and declares:
“Y’all are pieces of shit.”
The inmates erupt in support, cheering “Yeah!”
This powerful scene marks the official beginning of the massive prison riot that carries into Season 5 — one of the most intense and game-changing moments in the entire series.
