CalMet Services Spring Cleanup Pt. 1

Two times a year, CalMet Services offers free bulk item pick up to the city of Lomita. The first time is during April and the second time is during October, where the county areas are serviced as well. Although, this time, the crews aren't the usual side loader guys. Since the side loader drivers have their regular routes still, swing drivers for Lomita and the county areas are brought to do a clean up for Lomita. As for October this is the same process through out the week, however on the two Saturdays in October, the usual drivers do the cleaning.

Here we have the cousin unit of 204 and 205. This truck used to do residential collection in Cerritos back when they were manual. This week 207 and 225 did the clean up on Wednesday and it looks as if 204 and 205 did the clean up on Thursday, with different crews. I was able to recognize some of the drivers that subbed for the usual drivers. Believe it or not CalMet may still have 6 of these units left: 204, 205, 206, 207, 225, and 301. 206 has a chrome bumper and 301 has the Cal San hooks for commercial. All the people of CalMet seem to know what I do and are fine with it, which is a good thing.. lol word gets around..

I didn't go to Lomita on Monday as I thought the wealthier side of Lomita near Torrance would have light set outs..

All this footage was filmed on one long street that took about half an hour.. Also my camera died at the end..

Funny thing is that I caught 207 and 225 from coming back from dumping and break on my way to Lomita. Unfortunately, I lost 207 miserably, but I was able to find 225. No pictures of 207.. Anyways enjoy! Watch in HQ!

Also my activity on YouTube was delayed as I got a new laptop. Now my video quality will be significantly improved.
