While so many of us have the freedom
to open a Bible, go to church, and speak the name of Jesus publicly... many of our brothers and sisters around the world are risking their lives for doing those same things. In places like Nigeria, Christians are attacked, displaced from their homes, kidnapped, and even killed simply because they refuse to deny Christ. Entire families live in fear, churches are burned, and children grow up surrounded by violence...yet many still cling to Jesus with a faith stronger than most of us could imagine. Their courage is both heartbreaking and inspiring. They are not distant strangers... they are part of the same body of Christ.
This is why organizations that help persecuted Christians matter so deeply. When we give, pray, and support them, we are stepping into the suffering with our own brothers and sisters. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me." Every meal provided, every safe place built, every Bible delivered, and every family protected becomes an act of love toward Christ Himself. The Church was never meant to ignore suffering believers....we are called to carry one another's burdens. And in a world full of darkness, supporting persecuted Christians is one of the clearest ways we can show the love of Jesus in action. Whatever God is convicting you to give, please give. But only with a cheerful heart.
