This is a parody of Green Day's song "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)," written by Billie Joe Armstrong and released in 1997 on Reprise Records. I don't profess to be a scholarship expert, but I believe that--being a parody--this video is protected by the Fair Use doctrine as outlined in Section 107 of the Copyright Act. According to http://copyright.gov/fair-use/more-in..., a work meant for uses "such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research" may qualify as "fair use". As such, I believe that no problems should arise from my using this song in order to win a scholarship. :)
