TRANSCRIPT
Austrian-based Cyclotech partnered with Japanese parcel delivery firm Yamato to develop a concept for an unusual delivery drone.
The aircraft will use Cyclotech’s technology, capable of precision landing in confined space while handling challenging wind conditions. It can fly up to 25 miles (40km) at speeds of roughly 80 mph (130km/h).
Its unique shape is designed to carry a cargo pod developed by Yamato. The pod will function as a pushcart, holding roughly 30 kg (66 lbs) of cargo.
The drone is still in its concept phase, meaning there’s a chance it may never be built. However, this innovative idea and experimentation can pave the way for improved air delivery systems and other drone applications in the future.
Do you think this unique design concept will reach the production stage, or will it remain an idea?
