She has been labelled Britain’s worst paedophile, but after serving just ten years of her indeterminate prison sentence, Vanessa George has now been released from prison after the parole board ruled that she no longer posed a significant risk to the public. In 2009, George pleaded guilty to seven sexual assaults on children in her care at Little Ted’s Nursery, Plymouth and making 124 indecent images of children. However, she has never admitted the full scale of her offences, leaving many parents unclear whether their children were among her victims. One of those parents ‘Kate’, whose son attended the nursery, joins us now in an attempt to plead with George to name her victims and give the families some closure. Also joining us, via Skype, is criminal barrister Yasin Patel, to shed some light on just how and why George has been allowed to walk free.
