Blender, Perfect Normals, FAST! + CAD type modelling workflow using Knife Project

How to fix bad normals after cutting into a 3d object with for example Blender's knife cut tool or Blender's boolean modifier or boolean tool. This will avoid shading artefacts or distorted reflections after a boolean or knife cut.

The process once learnt, takes around 15 seconds. In the video it takes longer as I like to try and explain why things work. Enjoy!

0:00 setup for normals
0:47 farting around getting confused by viewport reflections
1:07 CAD like workflow with plane
1:39 demonstrating that it also works with curves
3:13 make the extrusion
3:40 modify topology without changing the overall shape of the object
5:53 create the main bevel after cutting
7:51 removing edges that are prevent a bevel on the extruded part
9:45 create inner bevels
10:17 how to quickly fix the normals without manipulating geometry.
13:15 normals comparison before and after
13:39 fix other areas with autosmooth
14:03 weighted normals modifier
14:32 exporting with the normals we've created
