Megadeth - The Conjuring (Vocal Cover)

Here's the second out of 8 videos I plan on uploading over the course of this week. I'm gonna try to upload more, but I can't guarantee anything atm.
Anyways, here's the rest of the story I was telling about how ultimately got into metal (I hit the character limit in the last video lol)

Fast forward to about 2013/2014 to when I acquire the digital version of RB3 on the XBL Marketplace on 360 during the summer (price: FREE HAHA) and I started playing the songs on disc over and over (I was briefly mad into A7X for a bit and bought all the song dlc). It wasn't until i saw that RB2 had a bunch of songs that I could export to rb3 and bought a hard copy to do so, that I first discovered Megadeth in Rock Band. Peace Sells was on the setlist for both RB2 and the RB2 export to RB3, and when I first played it on expert guitar I was blown away.
Not by the notes mind you (of course, that was something I wasn't used to at the time either, lol) but just everything to the sound of the bass intro, to the bonded guitar riffs, to Dave's snarled, rasp filled vocals was a lot for 13/14 yr old me to take on at once. And that's when it all came back to me that i've heard these guys before when I was a wee tike, (i'm 6'6 now lol) I knew I had to go deeper down the rabbit hole.
I looked up more and more about the band until I learned about Dave Mustaine and his journey to where he got in the metal world as a certified legend. (Say what you will about him, but Dave's music writing skills are phenomenal). I even tried my hand at the guitar in grade 10 in an effort to further my skills and taste in music (I retired from that interest after about a year or two. might get back with it someday).

Anyways, that's enough about my life story for now, haha. Time for some interesting info about how I did all this;

So, for this cover specifically I had to download a Flanger distortion effect into Audacity for the complete entirety of the lead vocals since this is the same effect Dave had on his voice when recording this. (if not a similar one) so that was interesting.

Another thing i\I left out f the other description was why you don't see me while i'm singing, or what my exact setup is. The reasons for this are kinda dumb, yet simple enough to understand I would assume

Reason 1. I don't have the money for a good quality microphone, or any of the other gear normally used for this sort of thing(Currently i'm recording with my Turtle Beach headset with mediocre clarity in my voice ['HAH, get a REAL microphone!']). Also the only software I use is Audacity completely. I don't use any other audio editing programs when making these.

Reason 2. I live in a fairly crammed room, in a fairly crammed house with more than 7 people here at any given time. And it's usually loud around here, so I pretty much just mark it as out of the question for the time being. Maybe I'll see about rectifying this in the future, but for now this is the style of how I record these covers.

But other than all that, if you like what you see/hear, then be sure to leave a like, subscribe and hit the notifications bell so you know when I DO upload haha, and why not leave a comment too? I always take the time to read all of them, even if I don't respond right away.

Keep on thrashing!🤘🏽🙂😎🤘🏽
