When I first ordered my Winnebago RV and planned on setting out on a van life adventure, camping, and specifically how I was going to find camping was a major concern. I originally thought I'd be spending most of my time at campgrounds - that led to research, which is where I learned about Thousand Trails membership.

I know there are going to be many that say, wait Kevin, I thought you were into BLM and National Forest Land boondocking ? I am, but, I also enjoy camping at campgrounds too! So a Thousand Trails membership made sense for me. I plan on combining free camping with Thousand Trails campground camping to make cheap RV living a thing for me.

In this video, you'll see me pull into a new Thousand Trails campground that I've never been to and get set up. Then I'll discuss why camping at an RV campground & ultimately a Thousand Trails membership made sense for my RV living adventure. And then, I'll go over exactly what my Thousand Trails membership includes and what my specific Thousand Trails membership cost.
