Best Budget Camera Phones (2021) | Poco, Xiaomi, Moto, Pixel & More!

Reviewing the best budget camera phones of 2021, after testing them as my full-time smartphones. Here I compare my favourite affordable mobiles for their photo and video chops, including budget handsets under £300 and £200 in the UK.

The Pixel 4a is at the upper price point in this round-up at £350, but it offers the greatest camera tech and processing smarts of any phone under £400 in 2021. If you can't afford it though, don't despair. For less than 300 quid you can grab the Poco X3 NFC, Moto G9 Plus or Xiaomi's Mi 10T Lite. My personal favourite of these three smartphones is the Poco X3, which boasts the best camera results on a tough budget. Photos look great and you can shoot 4K video too.

The Mi 10T Lite and Moto G9 Plus aren't quite as capable but still good for your everyday photography, if you aren't too demanding. And for under £200 you can grab the Oppo A53, which is impressive for that super low price.
