Gregory and Aileen's marriage began with joy-filled love for one another. But as the years went by, Gregory began to invest all of his time into work and ministry at church—and Aileen chose to withdraw from her husband and to focus on her children. In 2008, Aileen attended the first True Woman conference with a group of women from their church in the Dominican Republic. Through the teaching she heard there, the Holy Spirit started a fresh work in her heart, and she brought the "Seeking Him" study home with her. Gregory also began the study.
