This outdoor market is mentioned in a number of tourist guides, although it is very similar to most other open markets in Paris.

I've only covered the outside of the market, which contains mostly fresh produce and a flea market. The inside part (inside a market building visible from the outside in the video) sells other things, especially perishable foodstuffs like meat, fish, and dairy products.

During the holidays, the Marché d'Aligre is always buzzing with Parisian buying fresh food! No wonder French women don't get fat!
