Piya Ghar Aya by the Women of Ilahi Sufi Qawwali

The all-female Qawwali ensemble Ilahi offer the classic Punjabi kalam Mera Piya Ghar Aya.
The Ilahi Sufi Qawwali ensemble is an initiative by the Sama School of Music encouraging women to carry the Qawwali tradition, which is typically done only by men.
Nine months in, these women continue to learn this precious art with such love and devotion, inspiring more women towards this tradition.

This piece written by 18th century sufi master Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah tells the story of divine love for his master:
