In this update, we're stepping deeper into the Babylon 5 universe with a new scene featuring multiple Omega-Class warships departing from Earth orbit. These heavy EarthForce vessels—part destroyer, part cruiser—are iconic symbols of humanity’s strength in space, and in my simulator, they're fully animated and ready for deployment.

I’m developing a space battle simulator designed to recreate large-scale sci-fi combat, with a focus on cinematic staging and fan-created engagements. Each scene is carefully crafted to reflect the feel of classic space shows like Babylon 5, with ships like the Omega taking center stage.

This update is all about showing progress: 5 variants of the Omega-Class in formation, atmospheric lighting, and a bit of that majestic launch energy. Everything you're seeing is part of the toolkit I'm building to eventually allow others to create their own massive space battles.

Omega-class destroyers are iconic warships of the Earth Alliance in Babylon 5, known for their massive rotating sections, heavy firepower, and versatility in space combat. Introduced as a successor to older designs, they serve as the backbone of Earth’s fleet, capable of both atmospheric entry and deep-space engagements. Their menacing silhouette and practical design reflect Earth’s industrial might during the Shadow War era.

The music heard in this scene is from the original Babylon 5 series, composed by Christopher Franke. All credit for this iconic and atmospheric score goes to him and the original creators—used here purely as a fan tribute to honor the legacy of the show.
