Bargain Vintage Cultivator Restoration in Under 6 Minutes

It may have been a bargain, but let's be honest, it was only worth the $8. With a cracked poorly fitted golden handle, it would have broken the instant it touched the earth. The original design was good, but not great, a better method is to weld the socket closed and avoid using a screw or nail which always loosen up over time and can split the wood. The handle itself looks terrible and cheap, but under that golden paint is some pretty nice wood. It may not last with the abuse I throw at it, so if it does break down the line, I'll split some wood and make a handle from scratch.

Nothing fancy, this is a tool meant to be used and the restoration is purely functional, the black paint will wear over time and the handle will take on a nice patina too.
