Río La Venta, Chiapas, México | Kayak Expedition

A 6-day self-support kayak trip down the Río la Venta in Chiapas, México. Incredible canyon through the Selva Ocote. This was a low flow trip (~70cfs) at Aguacero. Highlights are the Barranca Cascada and the Cueva del Río. Even though this trip was done at very low water, it should be noted that there are still a few spots where class IV+ river reading skills are necessary.
