In 2009, Tom and Linda set off on a short 'jeeping' adventure to the beautiful but remote Saddlerock Canyon in New Mexico. In their mid-to-late 60s both are active hikers, in good shape and enjoy spending time in the outdoors. Disaster strikes when their jeep hits a large rock causing it to roll. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, their car broken beyond repair, Tom and Linda are suddenly thrown into a desperate fight for survival. Without water and with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees the couple wander for four days through dangerous and rugged terrain. Suffering from chronic fatigue and severe dehydration Linda collapses. On the verge of death she pleads with her husband to leave her and go in search of help. It's the hardest choice Tom will ever make.
