The paving techniques for roof waterproofing membranes mainly include three methods:
Hot melt method: Use a flame spray gun to heat the bottom of the membrane and the base layer, then paste them after melting. Suitable for modified asphalt membranes, with attention to controlling the flame to avoid burning through.
Cold adhesive method: Apply adhesive directly to the base layer and the bottom of the membrane, and bond them after air-drying until non-sticky. Suitable for normal temperature construction with simple operation.
Self-adhesive method: Utilize the self-adhesive layer of the membrane, remove the release film, and paste directly. Ensure the base layer is dry and clean, and compact the joints tightly.
Before construction, the base layer must be flat and dry. During paving, follow the sequence from high to low and far to near, with lap widths complying with specifications. After completion, inspect the waterproof effect.
