Lamb roast in a pellet BBQ | Schueys BBQ

Lamb roast in a BBQ, is there anything better than roasting a lamb outside in your backyard. In this video I’ll show you how to prepare your lamb, season it, how long to cook it, what internal temp to cook it to how long to rest it for and also slice it up to create the most succulent lamb you have ever eaten.

As with all my recipes I run through the selection, preparation, seasoning, BBQ set up, times and temps, so you can recreate this recipe at home.

Main Ingredients:
1.6kg Leg of lamb deboned (4.4 to 3.5lbs)
2 to 3 tablespoons of Olive oil
Juice from 1 lemon (squeezed over roast as it cooks)

Seasoning Ingredients:
3 teaspoons of lemon pepper
2 teaspoons of dried rosemary
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
2 teaspoons of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of mustard powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
3 teaspoons of smoked paprika
2 teaspoons of kosher salt
½ teaspoon of chili powder

Feeds: 6 to 8

Style of cooking: Roasting

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes (30 minutes per 500 grams (1.1lbs)

Cook Temp: 200c (392f)

Cook to internal Temp : 57c (134f) - resting carry over temp will take the internal temp to 60c (140f)

Rest Time: 30 minutes

Cuisine: English / Australian
