The Les Paul That Isn’t PART THREE Continued

Long video this time over 30 minutes, covering the vintage Les Paul HARNESS. AND we get to hear the guitar plugged in after the HARDWARE was changed to closest modern equivalent parts in their materials and design. The harness is a big part of vintage Les Paul tone, and Gibson didn’t copy what was actually done. So we take a look at each part used in vintage and what Gibson used in this ’60 VOS. We fix all their mistakes, replace ALL of it and do what they did in the 50’s. Once we replaced their harness with ours, we again hear the guitar plugged in with the new hardware and the new harness, to complete the task of taking an off-the-shelf $4000 Gibson, to make it sound much more like an original. I’ve tutored many players in how to do this, and every one of them were amazed at how much better their guitars sound, even with Gibson’s pickups still installed.

Then I build a PAF replica set to replace their pickups, play it on video for you to judge. Probably add a few extra tips as well.
