The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) - The Avalanche

In this thrilling sequence, Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) and his son Alex (Luke Ford) attempt to thwart the powerful Emperor Qin Shi Huang. The Emperor showcases his supernatural abilities by conjuring sharp icy protrusions from the ground. Harnessing his command over sound, he also manages to frighten away the yetis and neutralize the explosive devices. The Emperor then secures his diamond atop the tower, generating a brilliant beam of light.

Alex, determined to stop the Emperor's plan, ingeniously attaches an explosive to a larger device and propels it with all his might. Recognizing the imminent danger, the Mummy Emperor hurls his sword at Alex, but Rick selflessly intervenes, taking the blow to protect his son. Despite Rick's sacrifice, Alex's quick thinking triggers a massive avalanche that engulfs the entire village, dramatically altering the course of the battle.

What’s the movie about?
Alex O’Connell (Luke Ford), son of famous mummy fighters Rick (Brendan Fraser) and Evy O’Connell (Maria Bello), unearths the mummy of Qin's first emperor. However, a witch had cursed the entity centuries ago. The 2000-year-old curse is therefore broken, and the ruthless Dragon Emperor intends to carry out his evil plan to enslave the world.
