How Often Should You Practice Your Listening Comprehension in English?
If you are trying to improve your listening skills but don't know how often you should be listening in English, this video is for you.
Listening is a very important English skill. If you want to better understand people in English, you need to adopt the right kind of listening practice, otherwise, it will be very difficult to improve your listening comprehension alone. That being said, improving your listening comprehension does NOT mean you are going to listen for long hours every day. On the contrary, you need to follow the right strategies and that does not require listening to audios in English for too many hours.
Students confuse passive and active listening. As a result, they feel like even though they listen a lot, their listening skills do not improve. That is unfortunately the result of misunderstanding what "listening practice" actually is.
In this English lesson, I want to help you understand what you're doing with your listening practice. I will also give you a recommendation of how often you should practice your listening skills in English.
This is a video for pre-intermediate and intermediate speakers. For basic videos, check out my basic playlist.
