7 Tips for Effective Visual Motifs in Print Ads

1. Use consistent repetition.

2. Repeating patterns reinforce visual information. They tell the brain that "this is important!"

3. An effective motif has rhythm, so learn how the rhythmic marks work. For example, blurs and strokes suggest movement. You can also use the rhythmic marks to create dynamic images.
