Billy The Kid was born right here, in an earlier building. The Lower East Side is rich in immigrants: Africans, Irish, Germans, Italians, Jews, Chinese and so on.
McCarty moved out west with his mom. He shot 7 Native Americans, and then settled arguments with American men by shooting them. He died at the age of 21 after having killed 21 people.
