Recipe for Disaster Street Food Challenge in Lafayette!! (Unfortunate Ending)

Atlas vs DT Kirby's "Recipe for Disaster" Street Food Challenge at DT Kirby's Street Food in Lafayette, Indiana, home of the Purdue University Boilermakers. On June 5, 2019, I began my 2019 Summer Adventures and stop #3 was the Indianapolis, Indiana area!! I attempted a few delicious food challenges and for challenge #4, I took on the massive "Recipe for Disaster" Street Food Challenge at DT Kirby's Street Food in downtown Lafayette, Indiana. The revised version of this challenge that I attempted was undefeated and I had to finish a giant appetizer plus the burger, sandwich, and hot dog of my choosing, each served with sides: fries, onions rings, and hand-cut crispy chips. There was also a 1 liter glass of Old Style Beer. There was a crazy unique rule with this challenge, so be sure to watch the ending and see what happened. DT Kirby's "Recipe for Disaster" Street Food Challenge ($35):

With DT Kirby's "Recipe for Disaster" Street Food Challenge, you are given a special menu and you get to choose which items you want to eat during your challenge. You must choose an appetizer and then a burger, sandwich, and hot dog. There are 4-5 options for each category and the three entrees each come with a side. You get sides of fries, hand-cut crispy chips, and onion rings. You must also finish a mandatory 1-liter glass of Old Style Beer which originated in Chicago, Illinois. There is a 35 minute time limit to finish everything and get the meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and a $500 customized can crusher made by Squatch USA. You also get on the Wall of Fame if you have a top 5 finishing time. At the 35 minute mark, if they think you might finish in less than 45 minutes, they bring in a "reliever" which is a 1-1.5 lb item that contains a 1/2 pound beef burger patty.
