Momigami is a unique Japanese paper that is made strong and durable.
In the west, momigami papers are used by bookbinders but in Japan, the fabric like qualities of these papers have been utilised for clothing, umbrellas, wallets, purses, wrappings, and other craft items

Traditional momigami is made by applying paste to a strong, handmade kozo paper, wrinkling and kneading the paper, then allowing it to dry. Momigami’s rich texture combines the complexity of entangled fibres with millions of wrinkles, creating a paper with texture, character and strength.
The paper traditionally used is Mullberry paper or kozo paper, made from the bark of the mulberry bush using skills passed down through the generations.
