Watermelon Fairy House Cardboard, Glass Jar, DIY Air Dry Clay Craft Idea

One of the fairies living in far far away fantasy land called fairy house builder and requested her to build a unique watermelon house. This fairy is a well travelled fairy. She saw cylindrical watermelon when she flew to Japan sometimes ago. Now, she wants to live in watermelon.

The builder is wondering why suddenly the fairy wants to live in fruit shape house.

When she ask her client that question, the fairy said. "Well...I want to live in new environment, feeling happy and rejuvenate. Look at those fairies living in the lemon house. They are very happy and have a party almost every day. 😁 Their house makes the fairy village shine and bright"

Ehm...ehm...okay! No wonder the fairy house builder has received many orders to build fruit fairy houses.

Then, the builder starts building the watermelon house in one afternoon till evening with relaxing music accompanied her.

She build the house fast because she makes her own air dry clay with plaster of paris, flour and water.

These are the list of materials/ tools you need:
- Glass jar (any size)
- Cardboard - no fix dimension. Just cut enough to cover your jar.
- UHU Glue, school glue
- Paper towel
- Hot Glue and Glue gun
- Tapes
- Sand paper
- Cutter/ scissor
- Plastic palette knife/ spatula
- Decorative paper or fabric for curtain
- Water, brushes and baking paper or anything to mix your paints.
- Acrylic paints: hookers green, yellow green, lemon yellow, white, red, pink, burnt umber
- Air dry clay (you can use any type/ brand of air dry clay/ paper clay/ sculpting clay)

Basic ingredients:
1 part of flour (plain flour)
2 parts of water
3 parts of plaster of Paris.

To get the right clay consistency/ hardness you want, add more plaster.
