Toneq lattice brace guitar 2

Toneq Guitar No. 2, constructed by engineer Nils Fog Gjersøe.The Construction features a approx.1-2 mm thick spruce soundboard, which is balsa tree lattice braced with carbon fibre string reinforcement below and on top of the stiffeners. The carbon fibres, also used on the soundring, are laminated some places with standard hide glue some places with epoxy resin. Plywood sound ring construction inside the body provides amplification and and sustain to the soundboard movements. The guitar neck can be removed by two set srews and also the neck angle can be adjusted. The sides and back are mango tree, the neck is mahogany. Coating is epoxy all over. Music on the video are extracts from Bach´s Chaconne and from fuga BWV 998 and a slight bit of Villa Lobos as well, all played on the instrument by the builder himself.
