For many years Kit and I have taken a trip to Europe to explore high-level routes and summits, going hut to hut and trekking over scree and ice as the location demands. Today’s wander was rather less strenuous but most enjoyable in any case.

Taking care on the hills:
I’m not a pro, expert or any kind of leader on the mountains. I step out for fun and my own personal enjoyment. What I do is at my own risk. I do not suggest anyone does what I do, the way I do it, where I go or anything else in my videos. I’m always mindful of my own safety and doing what is right with respect to the environment and others on the hills. As always, every fell-walker goes out on their route taking on responsibility for their own safety and wellbeing, accessing areas that are open to the public or asking for permission as necessary. I totally support the #LeaveNoTrace campaign and encourage everyone to follow that too. So, if you venture out, please respect the environment, be considerate to others along the route, stay safe, wear, carry and use the clothes and equipment that you need for your trek, navigate carefully and keep within the limitations of your fitness and abilities. Let others know where you plan to go and when you will return.
