How to Package and Ship Cremated Remains with USPS®

This video will explain the steps and supplies necessary to package and ship Cremated Remains. Guidelines for packing, addressing, and shipping Cremated Remains can be found in the Publication 139, How to Package and Ship Cremated Remains and on USPS.com.
Update: On February 17, 2020 the Postal Service introduced a new version of the Cremated Remains box. This smaller Cremated Remains Animal Box is available on the Postal Store at USPS.com and will have the same shipping requirements as the previous issued Cremated Remains box. The animal box is designed to be used for the shipment of animal remains or remains of smaller portions. It is reinforced and sturdy enough to ensure the safety and security of the package during processing. Like the Human kit, the animal kit includes all the necessary items needed to bring peace of mind to the shipper that their irreplaceable shipment is safe and will arrive without incident.
