7 Laws of Leadership By Sadhguru | The Indian Mystics

The skill of guiding the behaviour of a group of people or a person toward a shared objective is fundamentally described as leadership. Being a leader does not require holding a higher position than others; rather, it entails successfully directing people to achieve great results.

Many times, Sadhguru has discussed leadership. We've compiled a collection of some of his finest tips below.

1. Have vision and insight: The most important aspect of becoming a leader is having a vision. Having a vision entails seeing the future and rallying others to make it a reality. A leader must be clear about what he wants to achieve in order to motivate others to work toward the same goal.

2. Find a common objective: Having a common goal implies having individuals who are focused on accomplishing it rather than being distracted. As a result, each person's energy and efficiency are focused toward the same goal, which becomes feasible.

3. Confront a problem: Problems are inevitable. They are a part of our everyday lives. However, to identify a problem and then approach it with a problem-solving mindset is the utmost responsibility of a leader. The leader should have a clear understanding that his people rely on him and he must sort the situation out nonchalantly.

4. Be calm, composed, and have control over your mind: A leader must be in command of his thoughts and know how to handle himself first, only then he will be able to properly manage his team. He will only be able to operate physically at his best if he understands how to be in a relaxing mental state. A leader's success is determined by his ability to put his ideas into action while being calm and collected.

5. Two aspects to drive a team: According to Sadhguru, a leader should focus on these two aspects to drive a team. Firstly, a leader should get everybody in the team involved in the process by creating an enthusiastic environment. Secondly, allowing the team to make mistakes along the way so they can learn from their mistakes and improve. To summarise, all a leader needs to do is instil in his or her team a sense of passion, courage, and conviction in their ability to succeed. This energy will motivate the team to work harder and achieve its objectives.

6. The three I's of Leadership: The three I's of leadership, according to Sadhguru, are insight, ability to inspire, and integrity. All three characteristics are undeniably important in defining a leader.
Having insight means having a thorough comprehension of everything whether it's a problem or a process to reach somewhere.
The ability to inspire involves acting in a way that encourages the rest of the team to do the same. The two vitalities that make individuals look up to their leader with adoration are sensitivity to the team and the capacity to uplift the team.
And having integrity with the team entails being trustworthy and honest, since people would only follow someone who has earned their confidence.

7. Build Goodwill and Manage Perception: Building goodwill is not about sugarcoating everything, it is about truly caring and valuing each person without looking down on them. It is about cultivating emotional and quality relationships with the team with the objective of getting ahead together. And managing perceptions as a leader is about putting up your best efforts into doing something so the team members perceive your input as valuable as it is.
