Pittsburgh Lumière (1977)
Home movies of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania filmed with a Revere Model 55 8-mm camera in the summer and winter of 1977.
Scenes include views of downtown, the Duquesne Incline, and Point State Park at the headwaters of the Ohio River. The hi-fi shop shown at 400 Smithfield Street was called Opus One, and has since closed. Demolished landmarks include Three Rivers Stadium, the Civic Arena, and the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport.
Night views of electric signs were taken downtown and along McKnight Road.
Winter scenes in the North Hills include Wexford, McKnight Road, and Franklin Park.
