It is important to understand cultural considerations of dating a Russian man, not only individual preferences and habits. Please understand, there will never be one size fits all type of solution. Behaviors vary greatly amongst the same cultural groups and Russians are no exception. The best thing we can do is to take information in from various individuals and make our own conclusions.

I attempt to identify patterns of my own preferences and behavior in order to make an educated guess pertaining to other Russian men. However, I do not claim that these qualities/preferences would be displayed by everyone. Still, sharing my take on this is better than be silent so here I am.
