Doechii Talks About Transparency In Her Music And New Summer Anthem

We have the one and only Doechii stop by Power 106 with Letty. Doechii is an American Rapper who rose to fame with her viral song “Yucky Blucky Fruitcake” on TikTok. They talk about the hustle of making her dreams come true. Letty asks her how she got her name out there and Doechii says, “That’s actually how my A&R found me. I was putting my phone number at the end of my music.” She tells Letty that was her actual phone number at the end of every song.

Doechii is no stranger to hard work, in fact she embraced it, “Me documenting my whole journey was really important to me my whole career I wanted to be transparent about how I get to places, because people gate keep a lot”

Doechii recalls being the kid who would imagine being in a music video when she was younger. The vision started in her imagination and then she would execute it, “On my lunch break I would go across the street to the park and rehearse, because I felt like one day it’s coming”

Now Doechii is here living the moment and tells Letty she wanted to create summer music that is fun, and that is what her new album will have, fun music.
