ORourke Enterprises / HoffmannTool.com - Scientific Glass Blowing Demo

This is a Scientific Glass Blowing demonstartion by Bill ORourke (Bill sold his company, ORouke Enterprises, to NDS Technologies in the summer of 2014 [ndsglass.com]). He is creating a hermetic seal between a Glass Tube and Kovar Ring. Kovar is metal alloy that has the same Coefficient of Expansion as glass, which allows it to have a hermetic seal over a very large temperature range. Bill Doucet from HoffmannTool.com is filming the video. HoffmannTool.com is ORourke's primary supplier for machined Kovar. ORourke Enterprises is located outside of Philadelphia in Lumberton NJ.
