1:00 If you are self-publishing your book, you can make your book as long as you want it to be, but that doesn't mean people are going to read the entire book.

1:50 Why does word count matter? First, your book's length impacts your printing costs. If readers have to pay more, you're going to lose a lot of sales. Readers are accustomed to books of a certain length. A huge book can be intimidating or readers can lose interest.
