Black is King Decoded: A Deeper Look Into Beyoncé and the Images in the Film

Beyoncé’s visual album has arrived on Disney+, featuring a reimagined telling of “The Lion King”. Aside from the amazing soundtrack, outstanding dance moves, and stunning visuals, there is a ton of African history, culture and spirituality on display.

Some of America's top artists like Pharrell Williams and Kendrick Lamar link up with some of Africa's largest artists like Burna Boy and Yemi Alade. A connection of African people at home, and abroad, is made.
