Help me clean this absolutely FILTHY Dooney & Bourke bag I found at the Goodwill Bins!!!

Hi there thrifty friends!

I am super excited to have you join me for today's cleaning palooza LOL. If you happened to watch my previous video, then you saw that I found the most *adorable* Dooney & Bourke bag just chillin in the Goodwill Bins. While it was beautiful, it was also disgusting and I knew that I had to clean it. I also knew that I had to make a video about it. I thought it might help someone in a similar situation figure out the best way to clean a purse. I have also never ever deep cleaned a purse like this one before, so I thought it would be slightly amusing. It was DEFINITELY tougher that I imagined.

This is actually my first Dooney & Bourke find, at the Bins at least. I will sometimes see Dooney & Bourke in the window of Goodwill stores but they're way to pricey to try to buy and resell. I've even looked for myself and haven't found anything good. When I found this bag at the bins, I was SO EXCITED to clean it up and try to restore it back to it's original look. I think i did a pretty decent job considering I have very little knowledge or experience of cleaning purses.

Before cleaning, I gathered a few tools I needed. I grabbed a medium sized mixing bowl from my kitchen to hold the soap and water. I also brought with me a sponge and some dawn dish soap. I first began cleaning the bag by wetting it down and scrubbing a soapy sponge around the bag. After a while, I just felt like it wasn't really doing much. I then just went full force and started rinsing it off under hot bath water. THE WATER TURNED BROWN YOU GUYS! It was so gross. I was actually really happy that I decided to rinse it under hot water. I wouldn't have gotten all of that dirt and grime out of there if I hadn't done that. Well, hey. I know for next time.

I will need to deep clean it once more and post the finished product on my Instagram page. Let me know what you thought of my cleaning session! Would you have cleaned it a different way? Would you have even taken a chance on the purse? Let me know below!
