DIY Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Sliding Door Repair: How to Replace the Toothed Belt

In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of replacing the toothed belt on your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter's electric sliding door. Before beginning the repair, it is crucial to de-energize the system by pulling fuse 32 or 33 on the fuse strip in the driver's box, depending on the door's installation side. Then, the electric drive must be detached from the mechanical drive, and the side paneling of the sliding door must be removed using a plastic wedge. We will show you how to remove the drive and control unit, disconnect all cable connectors, and unbolt the belt tensioner.
